Five ways it looks out for you

Confidence,
built in.

A chainsaw should never feel like a gamble. The HC-6001 layers five separate protections into one tool — so whether it's your tenth season or your first cut, the saw stays predictable.

Safety lock switch

A deliberate two-step start. It won't fire because you brushed the trigger.

Mushroom-cap hand guard

An oversized top guard keeps chips, splinters and the chain away from your hand.

Overheat protection

Cuts power before the motor runs hot, then lets you pick right back up.

Overload protection

Senses a bind or a pinch and stops rather than kicking.

Anti-kickback & low-voltage cutoff

Reduces sudden kick, and shuts down cleanly instead of stuttering on a flat battery.

Safety goggles included in every kit.

Not sold separately, not an upsell. Read the manual before first use — no protection system replaces good technique and proper gear.

HC-6001 800W brushless motor

POWER YOU CAN HEAR

Six inches. Seven seconds.

An 800W brushless motor drives the chain at 10 m/s — fast enough to take a 6-inch branch in about seven seconds, without leaning on it. Fewer wear parts, less heat, and power that holds through a long afternoon instead of fading halfway.

  • 800W brushless motorStrong, steady torque that runs cooler than a brushed motor.
  • 6-inch bar, 37-link chainHigh-carbon steel, sized right for branches and small firewood.

BUILT FOR EITHER HAND

Most saws pick a side. This one doesn't.

The safety lock sits on both sides of the body, so the HC-6001 works exactly the same whether you're left- or right-handed. The top handle keeps the weight centered over the cut, so it feels balanced instead of nose-heavy.

  • Ambidextrous safety lockSame reach, same feel, either hand. Roughly one in ten people needs this.
  • Top-handle balance2.74 lbs bare — lighter than most cordless drills.

HC-6001 automatic chain oiling

LESS FUSS, MORE CUTTING

It takes care of the boring part.

An automatic oiler keeps the chain lubricated while you work — no stopping to dab oil on the bar. And when the chain needs snugging up, you turn a knob. No wrench, no hunting through the shed, no excuse to put it off.

  • Automatic chain oilingKeeps the bar lubricated through the cut. Just top up the reservoir.
  • Tool-free chain tensionAdjust by hand in seconds — the most-skipped bit of chainsaw upkeep, made hard to skip.

CORDLESS, AND READY

Two batteries. Swap and keep going.

No gas, no pull cord, no extension lead trailing across the lawn. Two 21V batteries come in the box, and the dual-port charger fills both at once — so when one runs down, you're back to work in seconds instead of waiting.

  • Dual-port fast chargerBoth batteries at once, full in 2–3 hours.
  • 21V battery platformShares batteries across the whole Hobuza lineup.

Giving one

The gift that ends up in the garage, not the drawer.

Some gifts get used once. This one has a job to do every few weeks — and it arrives complete, so there's no follow-up trip to the hardware store. Two batteries, dual charger, spare chains, goggles, all of it.

  • Nothing sold separately
  • Light enough for anyone to handle — 2.74 lbs
  • 60-day returns if it isn't right

The 6-inch bar handles branches, limbs, overgrown shrubs and small firewood. It'll take a 6-inch branch, though 4 inches and under is the sweet spot for regular work.

It is not a felling saw. For trunks and heavy logs, look at the 8-inch HC-8001 instead.

That depends entirely on what you're cutting — dry pine and green oak are very different jobs, and anyone quoting a flat number is guessing.

What we can tell you: two 21V batteries are included, the dual-port charger fills both at once in 2–3 hours, and you can swap mid-job and keep going. Pick 4.0Ah if you tend to work in long stretches.

Yes — it's one of the reasons we built it this way. Five protections run in the background: a two-step safety lock, an oversized hand guard, overheat and overload cutoffs, and anti-kickback with a low-voltage shutdown.

Safety goggles are in the box. As with any power tool, read the manual and wear proper gear.

Not with this one. The safety lock sits on both sides of the body, so the saw works identically in either hand — no reaching across, no awkward grip.

Most mini chainsaws are laid out for right-handers and never mention it.

Less than you'd expect. The automatic oiler keeps the chain lubricated while you cut, so you're not stopping to dab oil on the bar — just keep the reservoir topped up.

Chain tension adjusts by hand with a knob, no wrench needed. Beyond that: brush the bar clean after use, and swap in one of the two spare chains when the old one dulls.

Get the HC-6001 unless weight is the deciding factor. It's the more capable saw: more power, automatic oiling, tool-free chain tension and the ambidextrous safety lock.

Choose the HC-6002 only if the lightest possible tool matters more than capability — 1.87 lbs versus 2.74 lbs, which is a real difference if the user has limited hand strength.

Yes — the HC-6001 runs on our 21V lithium platform, shared across the Hobuza lineup. Batteries and chargers carry over, so a second tool doesn't mean a second set of batteries.

Every HC-6001 is covered by a 2-year warranty, and you have 60 days to return it if it isn't right.

If anything goes wrong — on arrival or two seasons in — email us or message us on WhatsApp and a real person will sort it out. We ship from Los Angeles, so replacements don't have to cross an ocean.
